It’s that time of year again when it’s time to get in one last trip before fall, so we have just what the doctor ordered – a fun filled trip to Beaver’s Bend State Park in the foothills of the Kiamichi and the Ouachita Mountains in south eastern Oklahoma. The dates are Friday, August 31 thru Monday, September 3, 2007 (Labor Day weekend) and it’s only a 3 hour drive from north Dallas!

There are many things to do in Beaver’s Bend besides the State Park, there’s Broken Bow Lake, the Upper and Lower Mountain Fork River as well as the Glover River. Some of the activities available to us include hiking and nature trails, horseback riding/trail rides thru creeks and waterfalls, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, golfing & miniature golf, Broken Bow Choctaw Casino, Winery, Museums & Nature Center, Bass & Trout fishing and much more.

We have rented 3 cabins for this FUNTASTIC week end in the Southern Hills area of Beaver’s Bend State Park. Our cabins are rustic looking on the outside while it has all the amenities of home and more on the inside. Two of our cabins are adjacent to one another, while the other cabin is around the corner. Two of our cabins sleep 8 each, while the 3rd cabin sleeps 10. To learn more about these cabins, see cabin descriptions and pictures below.

So mark your calendars now for Friday, August 31 thru Monday, September 3, 2007 (Labor Day weekend) to join us for this fun filled weekend! Cabin rental price is $150/3 Nights. The trip balance must be received by Thursday, August 2, 2007. They have a strict 30 day cancellation policy plus there needs to be a week to allow for the checks to clear since they charge my credit card well in advance. The trip price is non refundable after Thursday, August 2, 2007 unless a replacement can be found and the trip balance has been paid in full. $10 cancellation fee will be charged.
